Coaching changed my life, enabled me to find my voice and build a business that gives me and my family the freedom to live life on our terms, whilst helping others to do the same.
It is a huge privilege to be someone's coach and to lead people through the transformational journey's that so many of our courses bring.
In Good Company is founded on heart and soul and a deep desire to make a difference in the world and whilst the path has had many twists and turns, I wouldn't change a thing.
It took 7 years to work out how to build a successful business. Bringing In Good Company to life, to the business that it is today, has been as much about self discovery, mindset growth and emotional freedom as it has been about business strategy and marketing.
And the journey has only really just begun.
My Journey
I knew have my own business one day. Freedom runs through my blood. I'm that child that always wanted to have their own way, that was fiercely independent and single minded.
I'm not your typical entrepreneur, I was an academic child, my path was set; GCSE's, A-LEVEL's, University - I sailed through and achieved top grades throughout.
I was, however, a typical high achiever. Play it safe, do not fail, never ask for help.
I found a corporate job in HR, climbed the ladder and loved my work, but I never outgrew my shy, awkward inner child.
In 2009 I trained as a coach and never looked back. Coaching connected me to my inner wisdom and enabled me to learn so many life lessons.
It showed me my hidden scripts that ran in the software program of my mind, limiting my growth and sabotaging my success. Scripts like
- If I didn't try, I could not fail
- If I never made a decision, I couldn't be wrong.
- If I don't speak up, I can't be judged.
But here's the thing.
- Achievement without courage is unfulfilling.
- Not making a decision is deciding to stay the same
- Silencing my voice awakens discontent
Through coaching I learned how to work with my mind, to nurture it play to my strengths and overcome the obstacles getting in my way.
I learned how to use my emotions as wisdom, how to choose my thoughts to support my goals, how to challenge myself to think bigger, bolder and be braver.
I am a lifelong learner, ever fascinated by what's possible, it's the companion to my heart that is here to make a difference in the world. Business is a vehicle for world work - a job I am sure will never end.
